Extrusion Principle

As we know, the main component of the grain is starch, but the raw starch is not melt in the water and difficult to be absorbed. But the cooked rice or flour pasta can be well absorbed. The extrusion technique is to gelatinize the raw starch and change its structure. During the extrusion process, under high temperature and pressure, the raw material becomes gelatinized state and gain large energy to change the physic and chemical properties of starch into stable a structure. When the material comes into normal temperature and pressure circumstance, its volume becomes large and the soluble elements increase. The extrusion takes little time so the nutrition of grain loses less and gain special smell.

Extruder composition
Puffing twin screw extruder is composed of feeding device, extruder, rotary cutting device, and control cabinet.
double-screw extruding system is composed of machine barrel and screws. The two screws are single end and mesh forward with each other in same left rotating direction and push the materials on the screws forwards.
